Single and Multichannel Electronic Pipettes

The biggest difference between traditional manual pipettes and A-pette electronic pipettes is the method they use to create a vacuum space to retract or propel liquid.
Traditional manual pipettes use medal springs, while A-pette electronic pipettes use high-precision stepping motors and microprocessors to control the pipetting volume and speed.

How do I maintain the accuracy of BluePette's last dispense in Multiple Dispense (MD) mode?
To provide high accuracy to your pipetting, please select Reverse Pipetting in System Mode (SYS) before performing Multiple Dispensing (MD).

How often should I calibrate BluePette?
BluePette is equipped with an auto-calibration feature, which is performed every time it is turned on. We recommend you to send BluePette back to us for calibration every 6 months, or after 100.000 pipetting cycles.

When should I change the batteries of BluePette?
BluePette will emit a beeping sound when the battery level is low. Please stop your pipetting as soon as possible and recharge BluePette to avoid any inaccuracy that might be caused by insufficient battery levels.

After the battery is inserted into the battery compartment and the battery cover is closed, the LCD display remains blank. What should I do?
The LCD display should turn on automatically when users insert the battery into the battery compartment and close the cover. However, the battery is sometimes shaken during insertion, making the battery´s metallic contacts touch BluePette´s battery contacts twice. In this situation, the LCD display will remain blank. Please press the "RESET" button or reinsert the battery to activate the LCD display.

What is the benefit of the Blow-out function?
To prevent droplet retention on the tip´s orifice, we highly recommend selecting the Blow-out setting in System (SYS) mode for all your pipetting. The Blow-out setting will purge an additional 10 µl of air in addition to your selected pipetting volume.

How can I autoclave the lower part?
Please refer to the BluePette Operation Manual to disassemble the lower part. The whole lower part can be autoclaved as on piece. Please wait 3-4 hours for it to air dry before reassembly and calibration. Since there is no spring inside BluePette, autoclaving will not affect the accuracy and precision of BluePette.

Can I use regular grease to lubricate BluePette?
We recommend using the specialized lubricant. The lubricant used in BluePette is an airtight, high-temperature-resistant, chemical-resistant material. It can undergo autoclaving without losing its accuracy.

Why is BluePette more accurate and precise?
The core engine of BluePette is a patented, high-precision step motor which enables BluePette to dispense with high accuracy and precision.
Small step motors which control the rotation into very small angles are widely used in many high precision applications, such as digital cameras, scanners and laser printers.
With the patented auto-monitoring feature of BluePette´s step motor, the BluePette not only performs accurate and precise dispensing, but also can monitor the movement of the step motor.

How many pipetting cycles can be performed by a fully-charged BluePette battery?
About 2.000 cycles.

What is the life span of the lithium battery?
Users can recharge the battery for about 500 times.

What safety certifications does BluePette have?
BluePette is CE- and UL-certified, which guarantees the stability and safety of products.

How does BluePette comply with GLP?
For Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) labs, all equipment operations should be traceable. BluePette automatically records pipetting cycles. This function is designed for GLP labs and service engineers. Since this function is not frequently used by regular users, it is stored in Service Mode. To access this data, please contact us.
