The BioSpectrumAC Imaging System is designed to automate your research with one-touch, pre-set or user-defined PC controls for accurate, repeatable gel imaging and analysis plus chemiluminescence, bioluminescence and colorimetric imaging.
Depending on the camera used with the BioSpectrum or EC3, the system may be used the following applications:
- Non-Fluorescent & Colorimetric Gels: Coomassie Blue, Silver stain, Autorad film, colony plate
- Fluorescent Gels: EtBr, SYPRO Red, Texas Red, SYPRO Ruby, CY3, RFP, SYPRO Orange, Rhodamine, SYBR Green, EGFP, Fluorescein, Pico Green, Gel Star, SYBR Gold
- Western Blots, Northern Blots and Southern Blots: ECL, ECL Plus, CDP Star, Pierce Super Signal, Pierce Westdura (Non-isotopic substrates only), Chemiluminescence blots (no fluorescence)
BioSpectrumAC automation menu
The software interface controls the lens’ aperture, zoom and focus capabilities. Selection of filters, overhead and transillumination functions are easily controlled from the drop-down menu.
- Enclosed cooled CCD camera features high resolution and extremely fine sensitivity for superior images
- Computer controlled five-position filter wheel for viewing samples with 400 - 655nm emission filters
- Overhead 365nm UV, blue and white light
- Platform converts from a chemi sample tray to a white light plate, tilt up for access to the transilluminator surface
- Easy access to the transilluminator surface with retractable tray
- Sample viewer with UV protective glass opens for observation of experiments
- Full access door
Accessories
The optional BioLite MultiSpectral Source for live plant and animal imaging can be used with the BioSpectrumAC.
